Your Wedding Album

Helpful Information

I’m so excited that you decided to create a beautiful album from your wedding photos. 🙂
There is something so magical about holding a book of memories in your hand and sharing them with family and friends and future generations.

How do we design a wedding album together?

There are three ways to design your wedding album and each is in detail described below. 🙂
CHOOSE OPTION A – if you want your your album designed for you (you get less control but don’t have to lift a finger)
CHOOSE OPTION B – if you want some choice (you get some control but do a bit of leg work)
CHOOSE OPTION C – if you want a lot of control (you get a lot of control but will have to do more leg work)

OPTION A

Step One: Let me know you would like me to make your album for you. I will choose my favorite images and focus on the photos that tell the story of your day and are the most visually beautiful. From there, I will design an album for you and send you a rough draft (this typically takes 1-2 weeks). You have the option of one round of change which include rearranging the photos, adding photos, subtracting photos and substituting photos (this typically adds 1-2 weeks). However, you can forgo any changes if you want your album faster. After the design process is complete, I will send your album to the lab for production (typically it takes 4-6 weeks to be made) and have it delivered right to your door once it is been completed (3-5 business days).

OPTION B
Step One:
Please spend time with your wedding images in order to get a sense of the ones you love most. Please also decide on the album size, style and approximate number of pages. If you’d like, you can come over for an album designing meeting where we can discuss album options.

Step Two:
Select 25 images that MUST be in your album. A Bride & Groom album will typically have 40-75 images in it. You choose the key 25 and I’ll choose the rest.  Let me know which 25 you want by sending me the your choices via email. I will begin your album design process when I receive this email.

Step Three:
I will work from the files and design you a rough mock up and send it back to you. You can schedule a viewing meeting where we can sit down together and make necessary changes in person or you can send a list of changes via the album proofing software. Please note, you get one round of changes included for each wedding album and any additional rounds of changes will incur an additional design fee.

OPTION C

Step One:
Please spend time with your wedding images in order to get a sense of the ones you love most. Please also decide on the album size, style and approximate number of pages. If you’d like, you can come over for an album designing meeting where we can discuss album options.

Step Two:
Choose your the wedding photos that you would like to include in the album from the proofing photos I gave you. The easiest way to do this is create a new folder called “Bride & Groom Album” or “Parent Album #1 or #2” and copy and paste your favorite photos into this folder.

Please choose between 50-100 images. A Bride & Groom album will typically have 40-75 images in it.

As you look through your images, keep your eyes out for key moments, detail shots and images that really come together to tell the story of your beautiful day. Try to include a wide variety of shots. Often the most beautifully designed images include fewer images per page (only your ABSOLUTE favorites) as too many images on a single spread can be visually chaotic and distract you from the elegance and beauty of a simple moment in time.

Step Three:
Copy and paste the HIGH RESOLUTION file that includes your favorites onto a separate USB or DVD. Please mail or deliver this disc to me directly, including any instructions you think will be helpful in the design process. I will begin your album design process when I receive your USB and instructions – not before.

Step Four:
I will work from the files you provide me and your instructions and design you a rough mock up and send it back to you. You can schedule a viewing meeting where we can sit down together and make necessary changes in person or you can send a list of changes via the album proofing softward. Please note, you get one round of changes included for each wedding album and any additional rounds of changes will incur an additional design fee.

FYI:
It usually takes 3-4 weeks to design an album, depending on how extensive the changes you request are. Once the rough draft has been approved by you, I will submit it to the lab for printing. From the time the order has been submitted, it usually takes 4-6 weeks to be printed. These are beautiful albums created for just for you. The few months it takes to design and create your dream album may seem like a long time, but you will have this album forever and it will be worth the wait.

I can’t wait to get this beautiful album in your hands. 🙂

Sincerely,
Giulia
